There are a lot of things happening with Stampin'Up! New catalog is coming out on July 1, 2010...only 31 days to go. That means a lot of stamps are retiring, a lot of colors are retiring, accessories (brads, buttons, ribbon, DSP) that have those colors and a lot of NEW items to look forward to. So exciting! If you have any favorites be sure to get your orders in as soon as possible. Things will be available only as the supplies last. Hello,

Long time no blog, I know. Too much of life happening. Just got back from TN. My Dad has been under the weather so I have been with him. He is doing much better now and my nephew is with him for a bit.

I have some Stampin'Up! news to share with you. As of June 30, 2010 Stampin'Up! will be bidding a fond farewell to the colors listed below. No more, ink pads, refills, cardstock, ribbon, etc. will be offered in these colors once the new catalog comes out on July 1st. If you are in need of refills, ribbon, brads, etc. in any of these colors you will need to get your orders in soon. Please contact me if you would like to place an order or if you have any questions. Decor Accents

Hi Everyone,

I purchased one of the Chalkboard decor accents and put it up in my kitchen. I purchased the largest size of the Decorative Sign. I really like it and it was so easy to put it up. Now when my husband wants to know what is for dinner I tell him to check the sign.

Desktop Calendar Workshop Preview

Hi Everyone, Saturday February 27th at 2pm I am having a Desktop Calendar workshop. Here is what we will be making.

This is taken from a sister demonstrator Jenny Moors of the UK with a few changes. We will be using cardstock and ink Chocolate Chip, More Mustard, Close to Cocoa, Taken with Teal and Whisper White. We will be using the stamp set Circle Circus along with punches, embellishments and the adhesives Tombow Multi-Purpose Adhesive , Stampin' Dimensionals and Sticky Strip. These are excellent! Hi Everyone,
Wow, another snowy night here in Virginia. I cannot believe all the snow we have had this winter. Unreal. Well we have gotten off pretty easy the past few years. I did think our turn was coming and here it is! I do love the snow but it is getting a little old now. My poor little Petey (my Yorkie) has not seen anything but walls of white snow in days! Ok enough about snow, on to my card. I made this card for a layout challenge. I made it entirely using My Digital Studio and the new download My Sweet Pea Digital Kit. I just love this kit. I hope your 2010 is going great so far. We are already almost half way through the first month. Time does fly doesn't it? January 5th marked the beginning of Sale-A-Bration for Stampin'Up! Here is a card that I made using My Digital Studio. I had several printed out so that I could just add an embellishment or two, my greeting and send them off. I think these can work for pretty much anything. The first picture is actually two cards open up flat. The top shows the back and the front and the bottom shows the insides of the card. You can see that I added a white area to the inside with a stamp at the bottom so that I may write. I really like how this turned out. The color is Rich Razzelberry in cardstock and designer paper...ALL in My Digital Studio. I used the Upsy Daisy stamp set and a circle punch for the moon. On the next picture you can see what it will look like with embellishments. The Happy Birthday is from one of the new Clear mount stamps sets in the Occassions Mini. I love this set. Please contact me if you have any questions about My Digital Studio or if you would like to see it in action. It is a great buy. You get tons of cardstock, designer paper, stamps, punches, ribbons, bows, etc. You can make scrapbooks, calendars, cards, videos, etc. They often come out with new products that you can purchase for the system.

Hi Everyone,
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Ours was great. We have turkey only once a year so I really looking forward to it. My husband was asking me why don't we have it more often. Not sure why, just never do make it. Same thing with pumpkin pie, I only make it once a year. Maybe I will do a turkey breast, stir things up a bit.
I have been busy today. I made some Holiday ATC cards today for a swap. I will post them later on this weekend and I created this blog background, header and titles with My Digital Studio and one of the new downloads you can purchase Christmas Cocoa 2 Digital Kit. The digital downloads are also compatible with other design tools.

Well, again it has been a long time since I last posted. I have been working on my blog setup. Learning how to do different things, experimenting. All paper and stamps I used to create my blog background, header, etc. were using Stampin'Up!'s My Digital Studio. It is super easy to use and you have a few thousand of Stampin'Up! papers, embellishments, stamps, punches, etc. It is WONDERFUL! Check out the short video here on the left. Soot Card

Here is a card I did for a Challenge at Gina K. You take gloss paper and very carefully run it over a candle. The gloss gets soot on it. You stamp it and the stamp removes some of the soot and leaves the design. You spray it with a fixative so the soot and picture is set. I really liked doing this, it is pretty cool.

Hi Everyone,

Yes, long time no posting. I know I am bad. Guess what I did this weekend? I spent Sunday afternoon with Tim Holtz and Mario in Maryland. I took the class Patchwork Pandemonium. It was wonderful. I learned so many cool things. I really never thought I would be able to take a class with Tim but luck was certainly with me. All the ladies were so nice and we all had a great time. Tim is so funny, sweet, patient and of course cute and so is Mario. I won one of the drawings which was very exciting. Anyway, I am posting my project but it is not completed yet. I want to add a few more trinkets and other things. I will add another picture once it is totally done. So, what do you think? I just love it.

I made this card for my mom and I also entered it for the Hero flower challenge. I really like how the background turned out. I used the Hero Butterflies and Flowers stamp for the background with the Ranger resist ink. I than used Distress Inks Broken China, Spiced Marmalade and Peeled paint. watching Tim's videos payed off, I think it looks pretty good. For the main flower I used Floral Bouquet stamp and painted the flowers and outlines with Tim's dried ink. I also used some orange and blue distress stickles for the dots on the and on the flower stamp. What do you think?

Gina K Challenge

I made a card today for the Gina K challenge. It is actually going to serve two purposes, the challenge and my nieces birthday. I used a flower stamp from Gina K's Tropical Flowers, Whisper ink and some markers, Stardust Pure glitter pens (wonderful pens!) some bling and Ranger paper. I think it turned out really nice. Oh yes, and I also used Tim's tiny attacher which I also love.

Well, it has been a long time since I posted that first message. A lot of life has been happening since that last post. I decided to update my blog page with my own creation. It is a work in progress. I am still trying to size my background paper so it all fits. I used papers from Gina K Designs, these two are from her Floral Elegance digital paper pack. I am taking a class and this was part of the kit. She also has some great tutorials and Stamp TV where she demonstrates a new technique every week. It really is great, you should check it out.

Welcome to my blog. This is my first blog and my first post. I am still working on it so this will be short and sweet. I used House of 3 couture background and header to create my blog. This one is called Vintage Botanical. They have so many great backgrounds and headers to choose from. I am sure this will be changing from time to time.
